When I look at these flowers I feel filled with peace and harmony, and it seems to me that I am standing in front of a small pond full of wonderful water lilies.
The painter always manages to convey spirituality in all of his works, thanks to the harmony of his compositions.
Observe here how there is an arc that connects the leftmost buds with the lower leaves, and the arc has the water lilies as its center: in this way we start from the center to admire the two fully blossomed, ripe, but then the eye widens, and finds the buds, and the buds lead to all the leaves… and in all of this we feel the coolness of the water!
The water lily is a symbol of purity. The pink water lilies refer to dawn, to the rising of the sun.
